The automatic tunnel car washes typically use huge mechanical nylon brushes that move at a high rate of speed to remove contaminants from your vehicle. These brushes can be abrasive, causing an accumulation of defects such as marring & scratches, undoing the work of your professional detailer. But if you do decide against my recommendation, then ideally a touchless car wash is going to be the safest method for your vehicle and coating. Another recommendation is not to use any of the protection products the car wash may offer because it will mask your coating's hydrophobic properties which means it will not bead up anymore once water is introduced to the exterior surfaces.
